Regional Manager for Portuguese Language and Europe

Danilo has served with the seminary since 2023. He studied Law (LL.B./J.D) and holds different theological degrees (Th. Diploma, ThM, and DMin). Previously, he served in the pastoral ministry in Brazil and oversaw missionary work abroad. He still works as theological director and editor for a Reformed publishing house in Brazil.

Translation Center Coordinator

Alejandro has served as our Translation Center Coordinator since 2024. Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, he holds a master’s degree in Applied Linguistics and is currently pursuing an MA in Religion at the seminary. Before coming to the seminary, he worked as a Spanish teacher, a podcaster, and a translator. He now leads a team of translators and editors from ten countries who make PRTS courses available in Spanish, French, Portuguese, Mandarin, Arabic, and Russian.

Kevin serves as our Chief Financial Officer and has been with the seminary since 2024. He is a Certified Public Accountant and studied Accounting and Finance at the Grand Valley State University.  Kevin has experience in finance, compliance, and management, and oversees operations, finance, and human resources for the Seminary.

Bill retired from his career as an IT executive in 2020 and started with the seminary in 2022 as manager of the grant-funded project to develop our Church-Embedded MDiv degree program. He added the Chief Information Officer role in early 2024, leading the IT Team in updating the seminary's key information systems and managing IT strategy, operations and security.

Senior Research Professor of the Old Testament

Dr. Michael Bar­rett is a min­is­ter in the Heritage Reformed Congregations. For­merly, Dr. Bar­rett served as pres­i­dent of Geneva Reformed Sem­i­nary. He earned his doc­tor­ate in Old Tes­ta­ment Text with a spe­cial focus on Semitic lan­guages. His dis­ser­ta­tion was titled “A Method­ol­ogy for Inves­ti­gat­ing the Trans­la­tion Philoso­phies and Tech­niques of the Sep­tu­agint.” For almost thirty years, he was pro­fes­sor of Ancient Lan­guages and Old Tes­ta­ment The­ol­ogy and Inter­pre­ta­tion at Bob Jones Uni­ver­sity. Dr. Bar­rett had an active role in the min­istry of the Free Pres­by­ter­ian Church until his coming to PRTS. He is a mem­ber of the Evan­gel­i­cal The­o­log­i­cal Soci­ety and has pub­lished numer­ous arti­cles in both pro­fes­sional and pop­u­lar jour­nals. He contributed to and served as Old Testament editor for The Reformation Heritage KJV Study Bible. Dr. Bar­rett and his wife San­dra have two sons and five grand­chil­dren. Dr. Barrett’s hob­bies include hunt­ing and think­ing about hunting.

Professor of Systematic Theology & Apologetics / Director of ThM Program

Dr. Bruce P. Baugus serves as Professor of Systematic Theology at Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary, as well as the Director of the ThM program. Dr. Baugus has a PhD in Philosophical Theology from Calvin Theological Seminary (2009) and served on the faculty of Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi, for fourteen years (2008–2022) prior to joining Puritan Reformed. He is a Teaching Elder in the Presbyterian Church in America, has served as a pastor, and continues to preach regularly and serve on various committees of Presbytery and General Assembly. Dr. Baugus frequently teaches in other countries and serves on the board of two organizations focused on the global development of Reformed theological education. He is the author of The Historical Roots of Reformed Moral Theology (RHB, 2022), the editor of China’s Reforming Churches (RHB, 2014), and has contributed numerous chapters, articles, and papers. He and his wife Tricia have two sons, one daughter-in-law, and one granddaughter.

Joel R. Beeke (PhD, Westminster Theological Seminary) is the chancellor and professor of homiletics and systematic theology at Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary. He has served as a pastor since 1978 and currently ministers at the Heritage Reformed Congregation of Grand Rapids, Michigan. He is the editor of the Puritan Reformed Journal and The Banner of Sovereign Grace Truth magazine, the board chairman of Reformation Heritage Books, the president of Inheritance Publishers, and the vice president of the Dutch Reformed Translation Society. Beeke has written and coauthored 120 books, edited 120 books, and contributed 2,500 articles to Reformed books, journals, periodicals, and encyclopedias. He frequently lectures at seminaries and speaks at Reformed conferences around the world. The Lord has blessed him and his wife Mary with three children and ten grandchildren.

Dr. Jonathon Beeke, Academic Dean and Associate Professor of Historical Theology at Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary, has a PhD from the University of Groningen (2019), and his dissertation focused on the Twofold Kingdom of Christ in Reformed Orthodoxy (Duplex Regnum Christi, Brill, 2020). He is a ruling elder at Redeemer Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Ada, MI, and serves on the presbytery’s candidates and credentials committee. Jonathon is married to Allyson Beeke, and they are blessed to have four children.

Vice President / Professor of Homiletics & Biblical Studies

Dr. Gerald M. Bilkes has served as Faculty at PRTS since 1995, becoming Vice President in 2023.  He received a PhD (2002) from Princeton Theological Seminary. He was a recipient of the United States Information Agency Fellowship at the Albright Institute (ASOR) in Jerusalem during the 1997–1998 year. He has authored several books and preaches and speaks at churches and conferences worldwide. His areas of special interest include hermeneutics, the history of interpretation, and conversion in the Bible. He and his wife Michelle have five children.

Dean of Students / Professor of Biblical Counseling / Director of MABC Program

Dr. Mark Kelderman completed his seminary training at PRTS and served as the pastor of Heritage Reformed Church in Burgessville, Ontario for 13 years. He received his Doctor of Ministry from Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary, specializing in biblical counseling, and is a certified counselor with ACBC and IRBC. He continues preaching at several local churches and, with his wife, serves the Christian community with counseling. He and Donna have six children and eight grandchildren.

Professor of New Testament Studies

Dr. Young Ho Kim serves as Professor of New Testament Studies at Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary. He studied in Germany and the Netherlands, and earned his Dr. theol. from the University of Bonn in 2014, completing his dissertation, “Die Parusie bei Lukas: eine literarisch-exegetische Untersuchung zu den Parusieaussagen im lukanischen Doppelwerk” (BZNW 217, 2016).Before joining Puritan Reformed, Dr. Kim taught for a decade at Hapdong Theological Seminary in South Korea (2015-2025). His research and publications focus on Luke-Acts, Pauline epistles, the kingdom of God, and the theology of Geerhardus Vos. He is the author of several books, translations, and articles, including works on the cross and the resurrection of Christ. Dr. Kim is married to Su Mi Lee, and they have four children.

Dr. David Kranendonk is the author of Paul Bayne’s Pastoral Teaching of Predestination (2021), Teaching Predestination: Elnathan Parr and Pastoral Ministry in Early Stuart England (2011), and Vital Balance. The Pursuit of Professors J.J. van der Schuit, G. Wisse, and L.H. van der Meiden (2006). He has served various congregations of the Free Reformed Churches of North America and is involved in various mission boards supporting theological education. David holds degrees from Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary (MDiv, 2003), Calvin Theological Seminary (ThM, 2008), and the Theological University Apeldoorn, The Netherlands (PhD, 2021). He is married to Elly, and they have seven children.

Dr. Maarten Kuivenhoven earned his BA in Honors History from University of Western Ontario (2004), his MDiv from Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary (2010), and his ThM from Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary (2011). He completed a PhD from Calvin Theological Seminary (2019) writing his dissertation entitled “Songs of the Son: Exegetical Method, Christology, and Piety in Reformation and Post-Reformation Interpretations of Select Messianic Psalms.” He is an ordained pastor in the Heritage Reformed Congregations (HRC) and previously pastored the Heritage Reformed Congregation of Grand Rapids, MI from 2010-2022. He is married to Jennifer, and they have five children.

Professor of Systematic & Historical Theology

Dr. Stephen Myers (PhD, University of Edinburgh) was reared in a Christian family and mercifully was brought to faith at a young age. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (BA), Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi (MDiv), and the University of Edinburgh (PhD). Prior to his appointment at PRTS, Dr. Myers served as the pastor of Pressly Memorial Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church in Statesville, N.C. While in the full-time pastorate, Dr. Myers also served as a visiting professor of theology at RTS Charlotte and a professor at International Biblical Seminary in Kiev, Ukraine. Along with Scottish Federalism and Covenantalism in Transition: The Theology of Ebenezer Erskine, Dr. Myers is the author of several reviews, journal articles, and forthcoming publications. In all of his work, Dr. Myers’s desire is to see biblical doctrine shape the lives and witness of God’s people around the world. Dr. Myers and his wife Lisa have four children.

President / Professor of Homiletics & Historical Theology

Adriaan C. Neele holds a PhD in Historical Theology (Utrecht University) and a PhD in Homiletics (Theological University Apeldoorn). He has taught at various seminaries and universities in Canada, South Africa, and the USA, including Yale University, University of Pretoria, University of the Free State, Africa Institute for Missiology, and Farel Reformed Theological Seminary. Presently, he serves as a Professor of Homiletics and Historical Theology at Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids. Dr. Neele is the author of multiple books and articles on early modern Reformed theology, Jonathan Edwards, and homiletics. His works have been published by publishers such as Brill, Wm. Eerdmans, Oxford University Press, Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht, Dunedin Academic Press, and Summum Academic. In addition, he serves on the boards of the Jonathan Edwards Center at Yale University, the Bavinck Institute, and the Dutch Reformed Translation Society. Prior to being called to Gospel ministry, he was an international business executive in the biotechnology, software, and venture capital industry. He and his wife Kornelia are blessed with six children.

Professor of Biblical Studies / Director of PhD Program

Dr. Daniel Timmer (PhD, Trinity International University) is an ordained ruling elder in the Reformed Church of Quebec and also serves at the Faculté de théologie évangélique in Montreal. Prior to coming to PRTS, Dr. Timmer taught at Farel Reformed Seminary in Montreal, Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS, and the University of Sudbury in Ontario. He is a member of the Evangelical Theological Society, the Institute for Biblical Research, and the Society of Biblical Literature, and has published a number of articles and several books exploring various aspects of biblical theology. Dr. Timmer’s research has been supported by grants from the Association for Theological Schools and the Priscilla and Stanford Reid Trust, and he was a guest lecturer at the University of Duisberg-Essen in 2017. He and his wife Andreea have two sons.

Originally from Buffalo, NY, Martin Klauber (PhD, University of Wisconsin) came to faith as a teenager through the ministry of Young Life. He was active in Cru (Campus Crusade) in college and served on its staff for seven years in campus ministry. Martin went to seminary at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and received an MA in Church History and an MDiv. He completed his PhD in European History at the University of Wisconsin. Martin has taught Church History and Theology for several colleges and seminaries over the years, primarily at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Northern Baptist Theological Seminary, North Park Theological Seminary, and Rawlings School of Divinity at Liberty University. He also teaches for the online PhD program in the History Department at Liberty University. He is the author or editor of several books and articles on the Reformed tradition in French-speaking Europe.

Dr. Richard Muller received his PhD from Duke University (1976) and currently serves as a Senior Fellow for the Junius Institute for Digital Reformation Research alongside his position as a scholar in residence at Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary. He has previously held positions at Calvin Theological Seminary, serving as the P. J. Zondervan Professor of Historical Theology (1992-2015) as well as a Professor of Historical Theology at Fuller Theological Seminary (1980-1992). Dr. Muller has published many significant journal articles and books in Reformation and Post-Reformation studies, such as After Calvin: Studies in the Development of a Theological Tradition (Oxford University Press, 2003); Christ and the Decree: Christology and Predestination in Reformed Theology from Calvin to Perkins (Baker Academic, 2008); and, notably, Post-Reformation Reformed Dogmatics: The Rise and Development of Reformed Orthodoxy, ca. 1520 to ca. 1725 (Baker Academic, 2003). He and his wife Gloria have two children and three grandchildren.

Dr. David C Noe has a PhD in Classics from the University of Iowa (2003) and served on the faculty of Calvin University (2007-2021), chairing the Philosophy Department and teaching in the departments of Philosophy, Classics, and History. Dr. Noe Pastors Reformation Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Grand Rapids and serves on various ecclesiastical committees. He is the translator of numerous works from the 16th and 17th century, including letters and treatises by Franciscus Junius, Theodore Beza, William Perkins, John Calvin, and many others, as well as the forthcoming Plans for Holy War by John Arrowsmith (RHB, 2023; co-edited with Chad Van Dixhoorn). Dr. Noe is also the Latin editor for the Confessional Presbyterian Journal, and his online pedagogy for Latin, Greek, and Classics generally can be found at LatinPerDiem.com, MossMethod.com, and AdNavseam.com. He and his wife Tara have four children.

Dr. Tom Schwanda is Associate Professor Emeritus of Christian Formation and Ministry at Wheaton College and is fellow in the Royal Historical Society of England. He is an experienced pastor and has published and taught widely on Christian spirituality. Reviving contemplative spirituality from the Puritans for Protestants is a desire of his. He is also the author of countless articles and books such as Soul Recreation: The Contemplative-Mystical Piety of Puritanism; Emergence of Evangelical Spirituality, The: The Age of Edwards, Newton, and Whitefield; and Puritanism and Emotion in the Early Modern World.

Dr. David Turner is widely respected for his scholarly work, particularly his commentaries on the Gospel of Matthew. Throughout his distinguished career, he has demonstrated a profound commitment to equipping students with a deep understanding of the New Testament and nurturing spiritual growth within congregations. His contributions to the Baker Exegetical Commentary on the New Testament series and the Cornerstone Biblical Commentary (Tyndale House Publishers) have established him as a leading voice in biblical exegesis and interpretation. Dr. Turner remains deeply engaged within his local church community as a visiting scholar at Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary and on his website, drdavidlturner.com. His continued commitment to theological education and pastoral ministry serves as a testament to his enduring passion for equipping others with the knowledge and wisdom of Scripture.
